Re: Avoid night traveling

I only like traveling at night if it's a flight where I can sleep, so that I wake up at my destination ready to go. If I'm driving by myself, I really dislike driving at night - I find myself getting really sleepy and I think that can be incredibly dangerous. I always try and plan my trips so that ...

Re: Which do you prefer coffee or tea?

I'm also a fan of both - it's hard to pick a favorite. I like coffee to start my day, but I usually drink tea in the afternoon, so I guess it's dependent on the time of day that I'm consuming them!

I usually drink them cold during the summer months and hot during the winter months.

Re: To what extent do you celebrate Christmas

It's a big deal for me and my family - very important. Now living as an expat in Australia, you start to see Christmas decorations popping up on store shelves around this time of year. I like it though...Christmas to me is a time of togetherness and family. Of celebrating the good things in your lif...

Re: What do you prefer, Day or Night?

I prefer day too - I am just more productive during daylight hours! I can't stay up as late as I used to without feeling exhausted these days so that's a big consideration in my answer. Plus there's just more activities on during the day than there are in the middle of the night! I also like working...

Re: Worst part of traveling

I love traveling, but I hate flying! I don't like being in a small confined space with a lot of other people, and I almost always get sick when I fly, probably because of all the recycled air spreading germs about! I wish there was an easier and quicker way of getting from A to B, but I don't think ...

Any expats in Sydney suburbs?

Right now I'm living in the suburbs of Sydney and I was wondering if there were any other expats here?

It would always be nice to have some new friends to spend time with. It can be lonely sometimes being in a different country that isn't home.

Re: How to learn French language?

I think the easiest way to learn any language is to be immersed in it all the time. If you could visit France for a period of time, so that you're hearing the language and using it every day, that would be ideal. I know that's not in everyone's budget though, there are many online apps and such that...

Re: Best foods of your country

Filipino food, I would say adobo. I ate a lot of it growing up and so it always has nostalgic feelings for me.

I live in Australia right now though, here the food is very multicultural and diverse. I would probably say that I like some seafood the best here, like barracuda which is caught a lot here.

Fiji

Has anyone been to Fiji? Right now it's on my radar since it's a relatively short flight from Australia, where I am living right now. I've heard lots of good things but would love some personal recommendations about sights to see, or good accommodation spots to stay at! Also if there are any particu...
