I was raised in countryside so I still strongly prefer ruaral areas. They're quiter, safer, less crowded, and generally nicer, and it's great to live closer to the nature. However, it's much easier to find a job in a city, which is why I live in an metro area now.

Yes, but people exeggarate the influence of this. You have best abilities for language learning until you're about 20, but you can still learn new languages after that.
