How to fight homesickness
I am discussing this topic because I had experienced being homesick twice - in London and also in the US. Being away from the family during that time with no internet was critical that it can change the decision of the person. In London I spent 4 months and refused to be extended work while in the U...

Re: Best thing about where you are currently living?
I think the best part of where I'm currently living is the weather, there is no winter here, and the close proximity that is has towards stores for our daily needs and 24-hour convenience stores are the perks in my area. The weather was the crux why I went back home from London and from the US. I w...

Re: Your best foreign food
I also love Chinese food because it is part of our culture. However, one time in Hongkong we were treated to Lamb Biryani by a friend. That changed the landscape of my personal menu. Now Lamb Biryani is my favorite foreign food. Unfortunately there is no restaurant that has that dish. Oh well, back ...

Re: Conversational Japanese
Conversational Japanese is easier if you have a use for it every day. If you are working for a Japanese company then you can surely learn their language the easier way and the sentences and words are actual. My nephew who worked in Japan for 2 years is very fluent in Nihonggo because he had to learn...

Re: What pushes you to look for love outside?
In our country getting married to a foreigner is an honor that is sometimes envied by friends. No, the color does not matter anymore because the culture here is very permissive now unlike when I was young. There are many foreigners living here who are married to a Filipino.

Re: Travelling During The Pandemic Era.
I consider myself a traveler abroad because my wife and I travel 3 times in a year at least. But when the pandemic came it is not advisable to travel because of the protocols against covid. In our country a foreigner coming in has to stay for 10 days in the quarantine center. Our trip to Seoul, Sout...

Re: Coastal Regions
I really am not interested in travelling to far away places, or going for a vacation in general since it can be expensive, so I'd rather just stay home. Try to travel while you are young. I know that it is expensive but you have to save money for that purpose. When you grow old it is not good to tr...

Re: Single Parents and Challenges They Encounter While Courting.
Years ago when me and my ex wife separated, my sons were about 7 and 9. One of the hardest parts about trying to raise them and dating was trying to decide what type of woman I should introduce them to. For me, the main consideration of a separation is the children. It is painful to realize that th...

Re: Coastal Regions
Our country has thousands of islands so there are countless of coastal areas. However, some coastal areas have dirty water because of the pollution. They are mostly the areas near Manila. You have to travel down south of maybe 3 hours drive to find a better beach with clean sea water. The most popul...

Re: Favorite news to watch
I do not watch CNN news because it is biased against Trump even if Trump is not in office anymore CNN keeps on bashing him. BBC is my favorite news channel because it is fair in reporting and usually it covers the whole world. Even the news about the Philippines is there in BBC.
