Can smoking be regarded as a hobby?

Absolutely not. Bad habits do not qualify as hobbies. Take smoking for instance. Individuals realize that it is harmful. However, they still spend daily on weed or cigarettes. While the habit may start off as a hobby, it ends up being a vicious cycle where the drug gets used as a coping mechanism-a crutch. Most smokers would not admit it but it is problematic.

Smoking is not a hobby but a habit. If done in limits it could be fine but if over done I would call it a bad habit which is injurious to health and needs to be kept in check

No it's not it is because they are addicted to smoking that's why they get there self smoking anytime. Me I can say they have no hobby at all and they are just addicted.
