If anyone of you ever find yourself in the Luzon area and has a need for Tagalog to get by; here are few expressions that can help you out. Tagalog is a syllabic language. That is, you read each word by its syllable.

Good morning/afternoon/evening = Ma-gan-dang U-ma-ga // Magandang Tang-ha-li // Magandang Ga-bi
How are you? Ka-mus-ta po* ka-yo? [*po is widely used in Tagalog to pay respect]
Where = Sa-an // When = Kai-lan // What = A-no // Why = Ba-kit
How much = Mag-ka-no
How much is the fare = Mag-ka-no po ang pa-ma-sa-he (fare)?
Thank you = Ma-ra-ming Sa-la-mat
You're welcome = Wa-la pong a-nu-man!
What is your name? = A-nong pa-nga-lan mo?
Where do you live? = Sa-an po ka-yo na-ka-ti-ra?

If you have other expressions you want to be translated, please feel free to place them in your replies and I'll gladly translate them for you.
