Even though there are people who like to do everything alone, but I believe teamwork is the human nature that the homo sapiens learned from the previous species of human beings, including apes. Humans used to live in a pack, hunt in a pack, these days human beings join together to create governments, businesses, in fact almost everything.

Teamwork is indeed a good thing than working alone, because it can make you accomplish a lot more because more people are helping you in your task.

This topic reminds me of the team building activities that are offered by some firms. They promise to make the team become a real team. Their clients are big corporations that send a unit for the team building activity. But the way I see it that activity is only for bonding of the members.
