When the husband is here, they go anywhere my aunt wants and the money is no object. Again, it is the trust that matters.

It is all about trust in each partner that can make a long distance relationship work. It's not that easy to see things work in the long run, but once there is that trust and the ability to control emotions, then I don't see the reason long term relationship won't lead to marriage.

I've been in a couple of long distance relationships and I have to confess that it is not that easy, especially when one have reasons to doubt the faithfulness of the other partner to ensuring that the relationship is heading in the right direction. The last was when my girlfriend thought it's not good to let me know that she visited the state where I reside only for me to find it out through another. That really showed that she doesn't regard me high in that relationship and I had to quit.

Long distance relationships are the worst thing it can happen to anyone. In the end, the partners will break up and find someone else. It is really hard to hold on such a relationship and the answer to your question is yes when one of the members of that relationship give up to turn its attention and effort for the other partner than the relationship is going down.

Long distance relationship will only work if you have both respect and loyalty. Every couple will go through bumps a long the way, either your on a distance relationship or your together. My point is distance not count if dearly love each other. And if you love someone you should both respect each other and be loyal to each other.

It is true that long distance relationship is hard since you are not together. You will always wonder what the other person is doing or who are they with. But it is up to the two people involved on how they will manage to make it work. There are a lot of means to communicate. Just be strong and believe that your relationship is worth fighting and not meant to be broken just because of distance.
