Saint Nicholas Day fell on 6 December. I just got to know this day in these recent few years too. I read that Santa Claus is actually Saint Nicholas, and he always helped and gave gifts to the needs. I like to tell my children about this day and the stories about St. Nicholas. I also helped St. Nicholas to give them some gifts.
Did anyone celebrate St. Nicholas Day here? How did you celebrate this day?

Re: Happy St. Nicholas Day!
Saint Nicholas Day is observed on the December 5/6 in Western christian countries and December 19 in Eastern Christian countries - and is the feast day of Saint Nicholas. They celebrate it as a Christian festival with a particular regard as a reputation as a bringer of gifts, as well as through the attendance of mass or other worship services. Some people in the States celebrate this holiday(I don't, but I may have to check it out) - but it's not a federal holiday over here.
