Volunteering in Asia

Postby dave23 » Mon Nov 07, 2016 11:52 pm

I would like to help with disaster response in places like Thailand and the Philippines. I want to volunteer for 1-2 months. Anyone have any recommendations or past experience with an organization?

You can check out Gawad Kalinga. It's based in the Philippines.

I would like to volunteer travel once I have my own passport. There are many disaster stricken areas here in the region because of global warming. It would definitely enable foreign nationals to get here easier and they won't have to undergo so much spending as well. This would be killing two birds with one stone. Going on a mission would also enable you to experience a country in its rawest form since you are getting involved with people.
