How safe is it to travel in Africa? And if you were going to travel there, what are the safest parts to visit and which are the parts to avoid?

Thanks for the list. I will try to research all of these places. But, I think that my first African trip will be to Cape Town South Africa. I just came across a video on YouTube that blew me away. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYH6PMqxXNk

Personally, I would advise not traveling to the Muslim part or Muslim country in Africa because they are prone to violence and don't care about killing people. Also some African countries that are politically unstable should not be included in your travel location because you become a victim of political struggle. Lybia, Rwanda, are the two places I wouldn't advise going to.
