Based on the people I know who are residing abroad the first issue is homesickness and later on there would be issue of discrimination even in the workplace. I know of some domestic helpers in the Middle East that have forgotten the feeling of being homesick because they are focused on doing their work properly otherwise there might be a sanction like not given a meal. That is part of life in working abroad.

I think that getting lost in a foreign land can be one of the troubles that a foreigner can encounter in a foreign land aside from not understanding the nuance in language.

I feel like traveling would be better. Visiting different countries would be better. Getting to experience different cultures sounds amazing.
