Aquatic Insects?

Postby ricky1874 » Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:11 pm

I got my first aquarium about 20 years ago and have been addicted ever since. I started out with just regular fish but soon became interested in getting more species. I soon fell in love with getting aquatic insects for my tank. I love having dragonfly nymphs and water bugs. Is there anyone else that loves having aquatic insects to raise?

I use to keep snails and leeches in a tank years ago. I kept the snails in the tank as food for the leeches. The only problem was that they ate all the snails and the killed each other.

It seems like collecting aquatic insects would be a good hobby, but it seems like for safety factors, you should do this with another person or group, because of the slimy rocks that could be pretty slippery, and also for the collecting to be done in a more efficient manner as well.
