Volunteering is an act of love and not a tourist activity. At Yanapay, we strongly disapprouve voluntourism which commercialize poverty and people’s suffering.

We offer 2 volunteering projects in the area of education:

Aldea Yanapay School in Cusco
Aldea Yanapay School in Lamay, in the Sacred Valley

In Lamay, you’ll get the opportunity to learn more about agriculture, permaculture and meditation.

Volunteering in our community of love means you will undertake a spiritual journey in which you need to be ready to give, but also to receive. Not only, will you participate in the kids’ education, but if you keep an open-minded and tolerant state of mind, you will get to learn a lot about yourself and maybe get to reeducate yourself.

During the whole time of your volunteering programme, you will be accompanied pedagogically and emotionally, as the work is not always easy. Several compulsory meetings take place every week with the other volunteers and the coordinators.

Important : Every volunteer has to sign a ethical contract, committing themselves to the time of their Project and stating they have read all the documents sent by the organization.
