Teaching at Blanca Jeannette Kawas Bilingual School is a rewarding opportunity for international, native English-speaking volunteers to live and work in a Honduran community. Our local and volunteer staff share the experiences of coming to a foreign country to live and work, and they plan classes together, go out together in Tela, and travel around Honduras and Central America on breaks.
Volunteering abroad offers incredible challenges and rewards. It can be a deeply enriching experience that teaches flexibility, humility and self-reliance. Our volunteers are eager for the experience and value of working with the children, getting to know the community, being immersed in another culture, and creating friendships with other volunteers.
