Mais Caminhos is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) offering 100% free volunteering opportunities in Rio de Janeiro. Mais Caminhos strives to empower a generation of underprivileged children and teens to build their own futures by providing them with the necessary educational and financial support. We currently work with the communities of Cantagalo and Pavão-Pavãozinho.
Our main partner is the Caminhos Language Centre, the largest and most exciting Portuguese Language School in Brazil. The school is a “social business” for its students, the children of the nearby communities and for its staff. Our headquarters are located at the Language Centre, as consistent interaction helps to further reach our goals.
If you are a dedicated and enthusiastic person looking for volunteer opportunities in Rio de Janeiro you should join us! We have many open positions for those wanting to get involved. We only require you to be a committed person with a professional work ethic. Any experience in teaching, education, marketing, communication or fundraising is always welcome and highly appreciated at Mais Caminhos.
