La Esperanza Granada is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious NGO, funded by both private and public donations.
We are located in Granada, Nicaragua.
LEG is a voluntary group (or volunteer-run organization) that focuses on children’s education. ‘Born’ in 2002, we started in a small village on the outskirts of Granada, and we now help more than 200 children in poverty-stricken areas.
We work with both the approval of the local Ministry of Education and the local communities to foster interest in education and provide a healthy learning environment.

We are a dedicated charity that supports children in rural neighborhoods, by giving them access to quality education to help them break the cycle of poverty.
Our main goal: help children and young people to better navigate life, thanks to a well-rounded education that includes basic competencies and a wide range of life skills. LEG education is non-formal and we make learning fun by stimulating the children’s interests and imaginations, all the while raising their esteem.

Our volunteers visit local schools and learning centers, where they assist teachers, tutor young children and introduce them to computers, teach English and help stimulate an interest in learning.
